Nick originally trained and worked as an actor, but he decided he wanted a fresh start in a new career. He thought about counselling and psychology but eventually chose speech and language therapy. He then studied speech and language therapy at De Montfort University in Leicester.

After his degree, Nick went to work in children’s services in Leicester, but realised he wanted to work with adults as well. This led to his role as speech and language therapist at Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre where he has now been for seven years.
