Danielle is the Head of Therapies at Hothfield Neurological Rehabilitation Centre and a Speech and Language Therapist by background. Before joining the team at Hothfield, she worked across a range of neurological settings in Northern Ireland, gaining broad clinical experience.
Her approach is rooted in person-centred care, placing each individual’s voice and participation at the centre of their rehabilitation journey. Danielle is particularly passionate about the role of communication in recovery and its wider impact on confidence, independence, and identity.
Since taking on her role at Hothfield, she has focused on building strong partnerships with organisations such as Headway and the Stroke Association, while also playing an active role in integrating new technologies into therapy. She is committed to empowering patients, families, and staff—whether supporting someone to rediscover their voice or enabling them to enjoy their first fish and chips in years.
Danielle’s wider background in psychology, CBT, early years education (including Montessori), children’s fitness, and HR has shaped both her leadership style and her holistic approach to care. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places and trying new activities, with recent adventures including surfing, crazy golf, and an emerging interest in golf.
