Deborah has been passionately engaged in neurology since graduating in 2008, developing expertise across all age groups. She enjoys working with both adults and children who face complex neurological conditions, and she thrives as part of an interdisciplinary team. Deborah has a special interest in supporting patients who have sustained spinal cord injuries, providing care both in at Active Neuro Rehabilitation Hub – Gateshead and in their homes.

With experience in brain injury and polytrauma, she is particularly enthusiastic about Functional Electrical Stimulation and various technological devices that aid rehabilitation.

As the Lead Physiotherapist, Deborah oversees a specialist technology kit designed to enhance patient outcomes. Her work has been recognised, as she was a finalist for the Rehab First Award in the ‘Outstanding Individual’ category in 2015 and also a finalist for the ‘Rehabilitation Employee of the Year’ at the Claims Awards in 2018.
