Gail graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in July 1999 and began her career working in a community aids and adaptations service before joining the NHS. She took on various roles in Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Palliative Care, Acute Stroke, and Hand Therapy.
In 2004, she became the Specialist Occupational Therapist for Traumatic Brain Injury at South Lanarkshire Council, where she developed community brain injury services and established the Headway South Lanarkshire support service. Her responsibilities included assessing and treating clients with traumatic brain injuries and delivering training on care standards for associated staff and organisations.
In 2008, Gail joined Active Neuro Rehabilitation Hub in Gateshead as the Lead Occupational Therapist, further enhancing her skills in neurorehabilitation. She works with both adults and children suffering from complex conditions, including brain and spinal injuries. Her focus includes rehabilitation for daily living, vocational needs, cognitive skills, and environmental adaptations.
Gail has pursued additional training in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) and is currently working toward her Expert Witness Accreditation through Bond Solon and Cardiff University.
