Laura Beswick

Matron

Laura is the Matron at Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, having joined the team in 2022 following a background in cardiology and neurology (brain injury) within acute teaching hospitals. With a deep passion for nursing, she is especially committed to working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care. A keen interest in the brain and the science of recovery continues to drive her dedication to improving services.

Over the past three years, working alongside an exceptional team has fostered both professional and personal growth. Together, they have strengthened partnerships with external services, enabling more effective and tailored care for patients.

One of Laura’s proudest achievements is the evolution of the service over the last 18 months. Leading a fantastic and dedicated nursing team is a privilege, and while challenges remain, they are united by a shared commitment to making a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of those they care for.
