Location Overview

Located in Hucknall, just outside Nottingham, our purpose-built rehabilitation centre provides expert care for people recovering from spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes and other complex neurological conditions.

Our experienced multidisciplinary team works closely with each person to develop a personalised rehabilitation programme tailored to their individual goals, helping maximise independence, confidence and quality of life. Every rehabilitation programme is built around the person’s own aspirations, combining clinical expertise, innovative rehabilitation technology and compassionate, person-centred care to help achieve the best possible recovery. Delivered within a calm, therapeutic environment, our rehabilitation is designed to support meaningful progress and long-term outcomes.

We offer flexible rehabilitation pathways to meet people at every stage of their recovery, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, residential rehabilitation and longer-term support. This ensures every person receives the right care, at the right time, in the setting that best meets their needs.

Our outpatient service enables people to continue their rehabilitation while living at home, with flexible appointments and ongoing access to their dedicated therapy team and specialist facilities, providing a seamless transition from inpatient care.

The centre accommodates up to 59 residents in comfortable, purpose-designed accommodation and features a fully equipped physiotherapy gym, advanced leading rehabilitation technology, dedicated therapy spaces and private landscaped gardens. Together with welcoming communal areas and nutritious meals prepared by our on-site chefs, every aspect of the environment has been carefully designed to support recovery, wellbeing and greater independence.

Introducing Oakwood Ward

The new Oakwood ward is designed specifically to support people recovering from spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes, polytrauma and other neurological conditions. With only five beds, the ward is able to deliver an intensive, highly individualised rehabilitation experience designed to promote independence and recovery including:

  • Access to industry-leading rehabilitation technology and equipment, with the ward situated close to the gym
  • Designed around independence and dignity, with fully integrated, hidden ceiling track hoists and continuous bed-to-bathroom transfers
  • Fully integrated ADL (Activities of Daily Living) kitchen opening directly onto the rehab gym, weaving functional rehabilitation into daily life
  • Beautifully maintained gardens that support wellbeing and therapeutic engagement

Oakwood will provide dedicated capacity for five clients, with flexible staffing models to support up to 1:1, 2:1, or higher-acuity care, alongside a clinically led pathway focused on reducing length of stay and supporting onward discharge.
